How do you punish someone who clearly has no respect for the law?
The officer suspected the driver was intoxicated and he was brought back to the police station where he provided two breath samples, both in excess of three times the legal limit.
The driver, a 40-year-old Saanich man, was also found to be driving with no insurance and was already serving a 90-day driving prohibition for driving while impaired.
He was fined $600 for no insurance and will appear in court later this month on impaired charges.
